Anthony Hernandez Ready To Rebound From Strickland Loss

Anthony Hernandez (15-3) is taking a more aggressive mindset into his home-state fight this weekend as he prepares to face Gregory “Robocop” Rodrigues (19-6) at UFC Fight Night in Sacramento.
Returning to action following a third-round stoppage loss to Sean Strickland in February, Hernandez is looking to rebuild his path toward middleweight title contention. Against the hard-hitting Rodrigues, the Northern California native plans to rely on his wrestling and relentless pace.

“I’m sober, I’m tired, and I’m not going to lie, I really want to f*cking hurt somebody.”

Hernandez also made clear how he intends to approach the fight.

“My goal is to drown you and make you hate your f*cking life.”

Following his setback against Strickland, Hernandez later joined Strickland and the team at Xtreme Couture for part of his training camp. Hernandez said the experience helped him make adjustments and regain some of his enthusiasm for martial arts.
