Police Respond Following Reported Shooting At Jorge Masvidal’s Miami Home

According to reports, as per Local 10 News, police reacted to a shooting incident at UFC star Jorge Masvidal’s Miami home on May 4th, 2023.

Reports indicate that emergency services were attending to a male victim with gunshot wounds when the police arrived at Masvidal’s residence around 3 p.m. ET.

The individual who suffered the harm reported that he engaged in a dispute with the perpetrator, who then retrieved a gun and shot him.

And as part of that process, according to a report by 7 News Miami, the individuals who were part of the shooting incident were ‘related’ to Masvidal.

While that may have been the case, Masvidal was allegedly not involved, nor was he present. And as for the victim, it is claimed that he is in stable condition as the investigation continues.

“According to the victim, he was involved in an argument that escalated when the subject produced a firearm and shot him. The adult male victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition,” Detective Chris Thomas as per MMA Fighting

The incident has clouded Masvidal’s recent retirement from the UFC. After his loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 in April, he called time on his career following four-consecutive losses.

However, he does hold the world record of having the fastest-ever knockout in the UFC when he stopped Ben Askren in five seconds.
