Tsarukyan Allegedly Bets Big On Topuria Vs Gaethje Fight

Arman Tsarukyan is hoping to cash in big on the UFC White House show, as he allegedly place a $1 million dollar bet on Justin Gaethje (27-5) to upset the unbeaten lightweight champion Ilia Topuria (17-0) in the June 14th main event.

The number-two ranked lightweight and official backup fighter for UFC Freedom 250 headliner, placed the wager live on a streaming session with four-weight boxing champion Adrien Broner, raising immediate questions about his eligibility to step in as backup should either Topuria or Gaethje withdraw during fight week.

Tsarukyan took out his phone mid-stream and placed the bet, showing his screen to the camera. Gaethje is the second biggest underdog on the card (Michael Chandler is the biggest), and a winning wager would give Tsarukyan a return of $5.7 million.  

Tsarukyan then joked that his father would be furious at the bet, however many are questioning if Tsarukyan actually made the wager or if it was just a entertaining stunt, especially since UFC fighters are prohibited from betting on UFC fights.
