Georgio Poullas has pulled out of his submission-only grappling rematch against Arman Tsarukyan, which was scheduled for a Hype FC card in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on March 11, hours after it was announced.
Arman defeated Poullas at RAF 06 last weekend after which a brawl broke out. While others were quick to condemn the post-match brawl, Merab Dvalishvili defended Arman. Following the brawl that left Poullas in a neck brace, Dvalishvili offered his take. He felt that Poullas crossed some boundaries, which involved pushing Arman in the face, meaning that Tsarukyan should not be blamed for answering back. Arman’s previous poor conduct, which resulted in a headbutt during the weigh-in for the Dan Hooker UFC fight, cost him a title shot. While they looked on course to run things back, the fight is now off after Poullas reportedly wanted a wrestling match under the RAF banner.
