Arum Claims Fury Fully Healed

With their rematch official, Bob Arum believes the hopes will be as high as the stakes for Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury on February 22nd.

“They will play off each other. That is why people are fascinated because no matter how far ahead Tyson gets in the fight people will be looking to see if Wilder can land the one punch. It will be a real great event,” Arum told the press on Friday.

One issue that some believed could delay the fight for the WBC world heavyweight championship, was a dangerous cut over Fury’s right eye that he suffered in his September win over Otto Wallin.

While the gash looked gory, Arum assuaged reporters’ concerns during a media scrum.

“I saw him when he was getting ready for the WWE show and everything had been healed. He had great care with a plastic surgeon here and then when he went back to the UK, the leading plastic surgeon in the UK took care of him and you don’t see anything now. It is completely healed,” said Arum.
