Arum Looking For Parker-Jennings In August

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker may be making his return to the ring this summer in a return to the United States per promoter David Higgins.

Higgins claims that Bob Arum is looking to get Parker to face off with Bryan Jennings on August 18th in Atlantic City on ESPN. Arum also made a push for Parker to face Jennings for his first world title defense, but was put on pause for a fight with Anthony Joshua.

Parker would take Joshua to the distance in a heavyweight unification fight in March, and would fall via unanimous decision at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Top Rank vice-president Carl Moretti told ESPN – “It’s a fight we’re working on and it’s a fight we’d like to do but there are a lot of moving parts, Sometimes they get made and sometimes they don’t.”
