Bob Arum used to promote the current unified world heavyweight champion, Andy Ruiz Jr. And while he no longer advises him, the Top Rank founder has some thoughts on the issue Ruiz Jr has with Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua.
Earlier this week Arum claimed Ruiz has Hearn by the “ba**s” in-terms of negotiations and told FIGHT HUB, Arum had an idea of how Ruiz Jr can move the fight.
“Well, I’m not his lawyer…[but] I would argue I don’t have to go and fight him in Saudi Arabia because the State Department of my own country told me it’s too dangerous to go over,” Arum said in the interview shown above.
“And no judge would make him do this. It’s like say, if you have a contract that you have to do the fight any place in the world and they wanna put it in a war zone, you don’t have to go and do it.”
