Arum Wants Canelo-GGG On ESPN

Last week Bob Arum said that HBO and Showtime should not longer be in the business of boxing, and with Canelo Alvarez ending his contract with HBO following his win over Gennady Golovkin, Arum hopes Alvarez jumps to the “World Wide Leader.”

“In our agreement with ESPN we will welcome all promoters,” said Arum. “Kathy Duva is coming with the rematch between (Sergey) Kovalev and (Eleider) Álvarez, Fernando Beltrán and Oswaldo Küchle come with Miguel Berchelt and Miguel Román; We are going to be open to all, and if Oscar de la Hoya is sincere and Golden Boy wants to make fights on ESPN in that agreement we have, we are open, in the same way we will be for Tom Loeffler and Gennady Golovkin, “he added.

“It would be lovely (to have ‘Canelo’ and GGG), we have great young fighters, José Ramírez who will be a star, a boy who unfortunately in weight Pluma broke his jaw, like Óscar Valdez, who would return in January, ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez who is a great fighter, fighters like (Ryota) Morata, (Masayuki) Ito, (Isaac) Dogboe, but, of course we would be open to having ‘Canelo’ and GGG on ESPN. “
