Aspinall Makes Pereira Vs. Gane Prediction

UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (15-3, 1 NC) is watching the interim title fight between Alex Pereira (13-3) and Ciryl Gane (13-2, 1 NC) closely, knowing he will likely face the winner once cleared from the eye injury he suffered in his title defense vs. Gane in October 2025, leading the fight to be ruled a no contest.

Aspinall broke down the matchup, acknowledging the fight could go either way but is leaning towards Gane edging it on points. Tom pushed back on the notion that Pereira would have an easy night against a naturally bigger man with good movement. Pereira is bidding to become the first fighter in UFC history to capture titles across three weight classes. However, Tom picked Gane to come through.

“There are a lot of Chama fans out there who think this is going to be a walkover. I don’t think it is, personally. If I were leaning one way, it would be Ciryl Gane on points. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alex knocked him out, though. But I’d definitely lean more towards Gane on points,” Aspinall
