Aspinall Releases First Training Footage Since Eye Surgeries

UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (15-3-0, 1 NC) shared footage of himself hitting the pads during a training session in Croatia, as he moves closer to making a return to the octagon.

Aspinall has been out of action since his October 2025 no-contest at UFC 321 with Ciryl Gane after the latter landed accidental double eye pokes. Tom was then diagnosed with bilateral traumatic Brown’s syndrome, which caused double vision.

Aspinall had double eye surgery in February 2026. However, the new footage shows Aspinall without any eyewear, working sharp combinations with his coach. While the session was “light,” it is a positive update for Tom who wants to face the winner of Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane who face off at the UFC Freedom 250 White House card on June 14 in an interim heavyweight title clash.
