Bio
Anthony “Rumble” Johnson was born in Georgia, in the United States on March 6th, in 1984. He received a college scholarship for wrestling and was a junior college national champion. He made his MMA debut in 2006 and after going 3-0 he made his UFC debut in 2007. Johnson is known for two things in MMA; his knockout power, and his inability to make weight. Johnson has missed weight on multiple occasions which led to his initial dismissal from the UFC in 2012, but he returned to the Octagon two years later.
Johnson has been fighting as a light heavyweight since rejoining the UFC and has made weight in all 5 of his matches since his return. Johnson is 4-1 with 3 knockouts in his second tour with the UFC and received his first UFC title shot when he fought Daniel Cormier for the UFC light heavyweight championship at UFC 187 but was submitted and is working his way back to another title shot.
