Daniel Thomas O’Connor was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in the USA on March 30th in 1985. He started boxing at 16 years old and had an amateur record of 110-11. In 2008 he won the National Golden Gloves tournament as a light welterweight and was an Olympic team alternate that year as well.
O’Connor made his professional boxing debut in September of 2008 and ran his record to 14-0 before losing an 8 round unanimous decision to Gabriel Bracero. After the loss O’Connor rattled off 9 straight wins before losing a 10 round split decision to Vivian Harris.
The loss to Harris weighed heavily on O’Connor who temporarily retired following the defeat but returned after a year away to win his next 3 fights before losing to Bracero a second time in October of 2015.
