Originally a kickboxer, who in total has gone 37-0 in her kickboxing career, Germaine de Randamie made her professional MMA debut on Dec. 19, 2008. After two fights, Randamie was signed by Strikeforce.
Randamie made her Strikeforce debut on Jan. 29, 2011, defeating Stephanie Webber via first-round KO. After two bouts at featherweight before Strikeforce shut its doors, Randamie returned to bantamweight to compete in the new women’s bantamweight division in the UFC.
She made her first UFC appearance at a UFC on Fox in July 2013, defeating Julie Kedzie. Following a loss to future women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, Randamie won three fights in a row. The most recent of these came in the main event of UFC 208, where she defeated Holly Holm to become the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion.
She was stripped of the title after refusing to fight Cris Cyborg and expressing an interest in returning to 135.
