A pure brawler with a Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing background, Jessica Andrade made her professional MMA debut on Sept. 6, 2011. After ten fights in her native Brazil and one in Russia, she was signed to the UFC, making her promotional debut at a UFC on Fox in July 2013.
Andrade has a 7-4 record in the UFC, with victories over Raquel Pennington, Joanne Calderwood and Angela Hill. She challenged Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the women’s strawweight title at UFC 211 in May 2017 but lost via unanimous decision.
