Juan Manuel Márquez Méndez (August 23, 1973) is a Mexican semi-retired professional boxer and a former world champion. He is the third Mexican-born boxer (after Erik Morales and Jorge Arce) to become a four-division world champion, winning seven world titles in four different boxing weight classes. A dangerous combination counter puncher, Marquez is known for being a fast and highly technical fighter. He is also known for his fights against Marco Antonio Barrera and Manny Pacquiao.
