Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov was born in Dagestan Russia on September 20th, in 1988. Nurmagomedov is a jack of all trades holding the title of International Master of Sports in Sambo, Pankration, and Hand-to-Hand Combat, as well as a black belt in Judo. He began his professional mixed martial arts career in 2008 and after going 16-0 with the majority of those fights coming in his home country, “The Eagle” flew the coop and joined the UFC.
In 2012 Nurmagomedov made his debut in the Octagon and won via 3rd round submission. He went 6-0 in the UFC to improve to 22-0 overall but last fought in April of 2014 due to multiple injuries that have kept him out of action and left Nurmagomedov contemplating his future in fighting.
