Bio
Marat Grigorian got off to a winning streak right away once he joined It’s Showtime! in 2008. In May 2011, Grigorian fought Yohan Lidon for the inaugural It’s Showtime 73MAX title, losing a close decision.
Grigorian first competed for GLORY at GLORY 2, defeating Alex Vogel. In 2015, Grigorian defeated Yoichi Yamazaki, Makihira Keita, and Jordan Pikeur on the same night to win the K-1 -70kg title. Grigorian competed in the lightweight contender tournament at GLORY 28, defeating Anatoly Moiseev but losing to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the final. He attempted to avenge the Sitsongpeenong loss at GLORY 36, challenging him for the GLORY Lightweight Title, but coming up short.
He competed in the Kunlun Fight 2017 70kg World Max Tournament, defeating defending champion Superbon Banchamek in the final to win the tournament.
