Mourad Bouzidi began practicing Muay Thai at 10 years old, and he had his first fight at 13. Bouzidi had a breakout year in 2004 when he won the DRAKA European Title. In addition, he went on to win the WKN European Title and WFCA World Title.
Bouzidi competed in the K-1 World Grand Prix in 2006, defeating Mehdi Mirdavoudi but losing to Min-Soo Kim in the semifinals. Bouzidi debuted for It’s Showtime! in 2008, defeating Hasan Gul. He received a heavyweight title shot in 2010 but lost to Badr Hari.
Bouzidi debuted for GLORY Kickboxing at GLORY 2. At GLORY 4, he competed in the heavyweight tournament, defeating Peter Aerts in the opening round but losing to Daniel Ghiţă in the quarterfinals. After a four-fight win streak, Bouzidi met Zack Mwekassa at GLORY 31 to determine the interim GLORY Light Heavyweight Champion. Mwekassa defeated Bouzidi by TKO in the first round.
