Bio
Nathan Donald Diaz, better known in the MMA world as Nate Diaz, was born in Stockton, California, USA on April 16th, 1985. He’s one half of MMA’s infamous Diaz brothers, as his older brother Nick is also a mixed martial artist. Nate started training in MMA as a teenager which paid off as he won Season 5 of the UFC’s reality show “The Ultimate Fighter,” and has won multiple fight bonuses for his outstanding performances in the Octagon. Like his brother, Nate is well-known for his use of vulgar language, a willingness to fight anyone anywhere at any time, and for routinely flipping the bird to an opponent or an antagonist. Despite (or maybe because of) the previous sentence, Nate is a huge fan favorite who always gives his all each and every time he steps into the cage to fight. To date Nate is 0-2 in title fights, but if he defeats Conor McGregor at UFC 196 in their non-title welterweight bout, he’ll jump to the front of the line for another crack at a title and will be hoping the 3rd time is the charm.
