Bio

Rafael Carvalho is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who is one of the key fighters in Bellator MMA.

Carvalho made his professional MMA debut in December 2011, failing to pick up the win. So far, this has been the only loss of his career. After nine straight wins, he debuted for Bellator at Bellator 125 in September 2014. In October 2015, at Bellator 144, Carvalho won the then-vacant Bellator middleweight championship with a TKO win over Brandon Halsey. Carvalho has most recently made two successful title defenses against Melvin Manhoef.
