“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey was born February 1st, 1987 in Riverside, California in the United States. Rousey became the first woman from the U.S. to win a medal in Judo at the Olympic Games when she captured the bronze medal in 2008. In 2010 she began her amateur mixed martial arts career going 3-0 with 3 first round submissions via armbar.
In 2011 she turned pro and won her first 7 pro fights via armbar in the first round. She won the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title and then was named the UFC women’s bantamweight champ in 2012 when the UFC bought out Strikeforce.
