Tyler Jeffrey (TJ) Dillashaw was born in Sonora, California in the United States on February 7th, 1986. He has a background in wrestling and kickboxing and had his first professional MMA match in 2010. After going 4-0, the Team Alpha Male fighter was invited to compete on season 14 of the UFC reality show “The Ultimate Fighter.” Dillashaw made it all the way to the finals but lost to John Dodson when he was knocked out in the first round.
Dillashaw has rebounded nicely from that loss going 8-1 with the lone loss in those 9 fights coming via split decision. Dillashaw’s current 4 fight win streak saw him capture the UFC bantamweight championship and make two successful defenses to date.
