Atlas: Joshua Shouldn’t Fight Wilder Yet

While most of the boxing world are hoping to see Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua face off this summer, Teddy Atlas feels like it would be a bad idea.

Atlas was on Sirius-XM’s boxing show this week, and feels Joshua should not put his financial future at stake against the powerful WBC world champion.

“Wilder can do one thing. He can punch like a son of a gun,” claimed Atlas on Monday.

“Joshua’s people should be arrested if they put him in there with him right now!

“Right now, they can make money fighting other guys. Maybe a year, two years down the road the fight becomes a bigger fight. Then you go and take that risk,” Atlas claimed to Gerry Cooney and Randy Gordon.
