Belal Muhammad Offers To Step In For Luke Rockhold Against Sean Strickland

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad said he can take on Sean Strickland on November 6 at UFC 268 in New York City.

If accepted, he would be replacing Luke Rockhold who has pulled out of the fight due to a back injury. Rockhold revealed the injury in a social media post.

Muhammad made hay of Rockhold’s withdrawal and called out Strickland for the welterweight showdown, tagging UFC president Dana White, Mick Maynard and Sean Shelby.

“If they need someone for Strickland, I’m down I hate that piece of trash,” Muhammad tweeted.

Strickland did not hold back too. He responded to the call out in an Instagram video post.

“Listen, Belal Muhammad, I heard you’re running your f-cking mouth,” Strickland said. “Last time you were in Vegas, I tried to spar you ’cause I knew you were a little f*ckin’ b*tch and I wanted to hurt you, and it was a good excuse to do it.”

Strickland has been calling for fights that will bring him closer to a title shot.

He believes that squaring off against Muhammad doesn’t help his goals. But Muhammad believes that Strickland is trying to duck a bout against him.
