Bella Mir (4-1) returns to competition on October 23 at RAF 14 in Las Vegas, facing Hope Chase on the mats in her first appearance since her upset loss on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Mir, 23, lost a unanimous decision to Alex Apodaca in one of the biggest betting upsets in DWCS history in August. She had planned to continue competing in wrestling and grappling regardless of the outcome of her UFC opportunity.
A wrestler at North Central College after transferring from the University of Iowa, Mir will face Chase, a 7-3 professional MMA fighter who has competed for LFA and Invicta FC.
Chase enters the matchup on a three-fight MMA winning streak, most recently submitting former UFC fighter Pannie Kianzad in August.
The matchup marks Mir’s return to RAF after previously competing at RAF 3.
Mir has said she intends to return to MMA stronger following the DWCS loss while continuing to compete in wrestling and grappling.
