Bellator 166/167 Sees New Changes

Darrion Caldwell and Joe Taimanglo will now be the new main event of Bellator 167, replacing the original headliner between Patricky Freire and Derek Campos. The news was announced via a Bellator Promotion press release. Patricky "Pitbull" suffered an injury which led to this main event change.

Ray Wood will be stepping in on a week’s notice to fight undefeated prospect A.J. McKee in the co-main event of Bellator 166. Wood is replacing McKee’s original opponent, Emmanuel Sanchez, who withdrew from the fight due to an undisclosed injury.

Bellator 166 is scheduled to take place on Friday, Dec. 2 at the WinStar World Casinoin Thackerville, Oklahoma. A bantamweight title fight featuring a rematch between Eduardo Dante and Joe Warren is scheduled to headline the event. Meanwhile, Bellator 167 is set to take place the day after on Dec. 3, also in the same venue as Bellator 166.
