Bellator 258 Weigh-in Results: Main Event Official, One Fighter Whiffs
The Bellator 258 weigh-ins are in the books.
Headlining Bellator 258 this Friday night, May 7, will be a bantamweight title fight between champion Juan Archuleta and Sergio Pettis. Both men made championship weight, so their bout is official. Archuleta weighed in at 135 pounds, while Pettis’ weight was 134.75 pounds.
Anthony “Rumble” Johnson hit his target ahead of his Bellator debut. He clocked in at 205 pounds for his light heavyweight clash. His late replacement opponent, Jose Augusto, tipped the scales at 204.75 pounds. Johnson was expected to fight Yoel Romero, but “The Soldier of God” failed to get medical clearance to compete.
One fighter ended up missing weight. Johnny Soto, who will be competing against Weber Almedia on the prelims, missed weight by 2.5 pounds. He weighed 148.5 pounds for his planned featherweight tilt. Almedia was perfect on weigh-in day at 145 pounds.
