Bellator 269: Fedor Emelianenko Pummels Tim Johnson With First Round Knockout

Despite being 45-years-old, Fedor Emelianenko showed he can still put on a fight.

On Saturday, Bellator 269 featured a heavyweight clash between legendary Russian fighter Fedor Emelianenko (40-6) and former UFC fighter Tim Johnson (15-8). Emelianenko won via knockout.

Emelianenko’s last battle was held around two years ago, but he still managed to impress the crowd with a highlight-reel fight.

In the first round, he landed several punch combinations and earned another brutal first-round knockout victory.

It is not known yet if Emelianenko will retire or not. As he mentioned before the fight, he wanted to wait and see his conditions and health after the fight.

A lot of attention was around Usman Nurmagomedov too.

Only 23 years old, the rising star from the Dagestan earned another first-round victory against Patrik Pietila, but this time via submission.
