Bellator 275: Gegard Mousasi Crushes Austin Vanderford In 85 Seconds, Retains Middleweight Title

It took seconds for Gegard Mousasi to add another victory.

Mousasi smashed Austin Vanderford via TKO in the main event of Bellator 275, which took place in Ireland. With the win, Mousasi retained his middleweight belt.

In the very first round, Mousasi made a huge statement.

They exchanged several punches, but it was Mousasi who earned a first-round TKO victory. Mousasi served their first-ever loss to Vanderford and now his record is 11-1-0, while Mousasi earned the 49th victory in his professional career.

After a dominant performance, Sinead Kavanagh earned a unanimous decision victory against Leah McCourt in the co-main event.

The first fight of the night was between native Irish fighter Lee Hammond and English fighter Jamie Hay. Lee earned his second victory in the first round by serving his rival’s first-ever loss by TKO.

In the second fight, Nathan Kelly, another native fighter, earned a unanimous decision victory against Wales fighter Scott Pederson.

Vladimir Tokov defeated Italian Irish fighter Daniele Scatizzi.

Darragh Kelly made a massive statement by defeating Junior Morgan.

It was the professional debut for the Irish fighter, while Englishman Morgan held his fourth fight. Kelly’s amateur record includes nine victories and no losses.

After that night, Kelly became a professional fighter by defeating an undefeated fighter in the first round via guillotine choke.

Danni McCormack suffered her first-ever loss against French striker Stephanie Page. Page dominated from the first second, and the referee could’ve stopped this fight even earlier.

Brett Johns served the first-ever loss to Khurshed Kakhorov.

After dominating for all three rounds, Johns earned a TKO victory just two minutes before the final bell. He is a former UFC fighter who left the promotion on a winning streak.

In the UFC, he earned five victories and suffered only two defeats against Aljamain Sterling, who is the current bantamweight champion, and one of the top contenders, Pedro Munhoz.

He earned his first-ever victory in Bellator after an unsuccessful debut against Danny Sabatello.

UFC featherweight Zabit MMagomendsharipov’s little brother, Khasan, earned another victory and remains undefeated. He served a second loss to experienced Spanish fighter Jose Sanchez.

Ciaran Clarke and Abou Tounkara shared the octagon for precisely five minutes. After an incredible five minutes, Tounkara damaged his shoulder and could not finish the fight.

Because of that, the Irish fighter earned another victory and remained undefeated with five victories in his record.
