Bellator 286: Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Retains Title With Unanimous Decision
Patricio Freire continues to show why he’s one of the most dominant featherweights.
Freire added another win to his resume by defeating No. 2 ranked contender Adam Borics on Saturday at Bellator 286.
“Pitbull” Freire landed leg kicks, jabs and hooks to breakdown his opponent.
Borics, who would’ve been Hungary’s first-ever MMA champion, was forced to defend against Freire’s submission attempts
Freire cruised to a unanimous decision win with scorecards of 48-47, 49-46 and 50-45.
In the co-main event, AJ McKee made a successful lightweight debut against Spike Carlyle, winning also by unanimous decision.
McKee used his grappling to get an advantage over Carlyle. While Carlyle put up a fight, McKee had done enough to secure his debut win.
