Bellator 288 To Feature Two Title Fights
Nurmagomedov will fight for Bellator’s lightweight title.
Two title fights have been set for Bellator 288. The remainder of the main card and preliminary fights have also been announced.
Headlining the card is a rematch for the light heavyweight title between champion Vadim Nemkov and Corey Anderson.
The pair met in the finals of the promotion’s light heavyweight grand Prix at April’s Bellator 277 event, and after a great start from the challenger, an accidental clash of heads forced the bout to be stopped and called a no-contest.
Patricky Pitbull will defend his lightweight title in the co-main event against undefeated super prospect Usman Nurmagomedov.
This is going to be the biggest fight for Usman, and “Pitbull” Freire thinks that Usman does not deserve this fight yet. He also claimed that Usman only is fighting for the title because of his name, “Nurmagomedov.”
The undefeated prospect did not defeat any great fighters yet, but his skillset and team arguably says a lot about him.
Another great fight to the event.
Levan Chokheli, the only Georgian fighter at Bellator, is fighting against undefeated, the No. 10 ranked welterweight Roman Faraldo.
Both fighters are finishers, Levan has ten victories on his record, and nine of them are via KO in the very first round. Faraldo has an undefeated record with eight victories, all of them via KO.
Bellator 288 will take place on November 18 at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena.
