Bellator 291: Yaroslav Amosov Dominates Logan Storley In The Rematch
Yaroslav Amosov marked his MMA return with a bang beating Logan Storley via a unanimous decision to win the welterweight title at Bellator 291.
The Ukrainian had every reason to make his country proud in light of the current Russian invasion of the country. As he entered the cage, he wore yellow and blue as he embraced the Ukrainian chants.
His opponent, Storley, only had one loss to his name, at the hands of Amosov, but could not get through the latter’s pinpoint hitting.

The victory was remarkable in more ways than one since it had been 20 months since Amosov’s last bout, which was against Douglas Lima when he won the title.
And given the long hiatus from the sport, coupled with the current war plaguing his country, there were question marks over his state of mind.
Amosov dispelled those fears with rapid combinations while negating Storley’s attempted takedowns that failed to muster up any resistance.
Once the dust had settled, Amosov became emotional at what he had just achieved.
“Ukrainian people, I love you. I love you, my people. Please do not forget what is happening. Of course, yes, [I am the best welterweight].
“We don’t need [a] UFC champion. Bellator is number one. I am here. If [a] UFC champion want[s] to fight, come to Bellator.”
