Bellator Kickboxing Returns Sept. 23
Bellator’s kickboxing programming will return to SPIKE TV this Friday.
Bellator Kickboxing: Budapest will air on Sept. 23. The event, which took place on Sept. 17 in Budapest, Hungary, will be broadcasted for the first time at 9 P.M. EST on Friday.
The event is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Karim Ghajji (96-12) and challenger Zoltan Laszak (10-2). Ghajji won the welterweight title at Bellator’s first kickboxing event in Turin, Italy. His fight with Lazsak is a five-round bout, each round lasting three minutes.
In the co-main event, the flashy and exciting Raymond Daniels (11-3) will fight Hungarian kickboxer Zsolt Benedek (15-3). Daniels has competed twice in Bellator Kickboxing, and has produced the kind of stunning finishes that he is known for. He will travel into enemy territory to take on the Hungarian Benedek, who will hope to score the upset in front of his hometown crowd.
Denise Kielholtz (44-3), who lost a controversial bout at Bellator: Dynamite 2, will look to get back on the winning track against Renata Lantos (5-4).
Alexandru Negrea (9-3), who put himself on the map with his upset win Melvin Manhoef, will fight Ali El Amari (42-10-2).
