Bellator Re-Signs Mix To A Multi-Fight Deal
When it comes to handling prospects, Bellator has been known to deliver. Allowing them to grow naturally has helped in them becoming some of the top athletes today. That is exactly what they plan on doing with Patchy Mix.
MMA Junkie was the first to confirm that Bellator has re-signed the 26-year-old Mix (13-0) to an exclusive deal. This comes after an initial Facebook post by Mix himself.
I Resigned my second multi fight contract with one of the top mma promotion in the world at the beginning of the year,” Mix stated. “Even though this year 2020 has been hard the light at the end of the tunnel is that Bellator will be home to myself and family for many years to come. After this pandemic I’m excited to get back to work and chasing these dreams!”
Making his pro debut in 2016, Mix started fighting in King of the Cage, where he went a perfect 9-0. He then debuted in Bellator in June of last year, beating Ricky Bandejas via rear-naked choke. In his second fight for the promotion, Mix submitted Isaiah Chapman at Bellator 232 via kneebar.
Bellator decided to transfer over his skills to RIZN, where Mix fought at RIZIN 20 on New Year’s Eve. He beat Yuki Motoya via guillotine choke, his third submission win in a row.
One of the top bantamweights out there, Mix is hoping to earn a title shot soon. Whenever he is able to fight again, he may be able to prove he is ready before that can become a reality.
