Bellator Set To Make History On October 10

October 10, 2020, will be a historic day in the world of MMA and Bellator will be at the forefront.

In a press release, the promotion announced that an event has been scheduled to take place in Paris, France. Bellator Paris will be the first major MMA card to be held in France. It’ll be held inside Accor Arena. The government of France recently approved MMA competition in the country and it will be under the supervision of the French Boxing Federation.

Headlining the card will be a heavyweight rematch between Cheick Kongo and Tim Johnson. The co-main event will feature welterweight action as Michael “Venom” Page returns to share the cage with Ross Houston.

Here’s what Bellator President Scott Coker had to say about the historic event.

“This is a monumental moment in the history of the sport, as well as our organization, and I am honored that Bellator will promote the very first MMA event in France by a major promotion. Many people have worked tirelessly to bring this to fruition, and it would not have been possible without the support of the Minister of Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, as well as the French Kickboxing Federation sanctioning body.
