Bellator Targeting Cris Cyborg Vs. Cat Zingano Title Bout

Cris Cyborg may have her next opponent queued up.

Bellator CEO Scott Coker recently said Cat Zingano will have the next featherweight title shot, a belt which belongs to Cyborg.

“Cat has reached out and wants to fight Cyborg, so I think our inclination is to put that fight together,” Coker told MMA Junkie.

“We’re going to have multiple fights in February and multiple fights in March and multiple fights in April and multiple fights in May. We’re going to start lining these big fights up and start knocking them off.”

Zingano (12-4) is undefeated so far in her Bellator career. She picked up back-to-back wins over Gabby Holloway and Olivia Parker since joining in late 2020.

Zingano was previously signed with UFC where she captured notable wins over Amanda Nunes, Miesha Tate and Raquel Pennington.

Cyborg (25-2), meanwhile, is most recently coming off a quick finish of Sinead Kavanagh at Bellator 271 in just 92 seconds. She is often regarded as one of the best female MMA fighters of all time.
