Ben Whittaker Extends Undefeated Streak With Another Stoppage Win
Ben Whittaker (11-0-1, 8 KOs) knocked out Braian Nahuel Suarez (21-5-0, 20 KOs) in the first round to extend his undefeated record in their 182-lb catchweight bout.
The stoppage was Whittaker’s second since signing with Matchroom last year, his second fight under the promotional company. Whittaker needed less than three minutes to stop his man after he landed a left to the body followed by a right that sent his man to the canvas. Despite Saurez’s attempts to get up, he was counted out. Whittaker will now make his U.S debut in his next fight, with Eddie Hearn saying he will fight on the Jaron Ennis vs. Xander Zayas card on June 27 in Brooklyn, New York.
