Beneil Dariush Vs Mateusz Gamrot Scheduled For UFC 280

Beneil Dariush is slated to square off against Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 280.

This potential lightweight title eliminator was first reported on by ESPN. UFC 280 is headlined by a lightweight championship bout between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev and takes place at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 22.

Dariush was supposed to fight with Makhachev for the title eliminator fight, but when Makhachev signed a contract against Charles Oliveira, UFC started searching for a new rival.

Gamrot is a former double champion of the KSW. He put up a strong performance in his last bout against Arman Tsarukyan, where he earned his first decision victory and his fourth victory in a row.

Dariush is currently on a seven winning streak. His last fight was at UFC 262, where he dominated Tony Ferguson to earn himself a unanimous decision victory.
