Benson Henderson, Brent Primus Added For Bellator 268

Benson Henderson is heading back to the cage against Brent Primus at Bellator 268.

Henderson (29-10 MMA, 5-5 BMMA) versus Primus (10-2 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) was added to the October 16 fight card on Thursday. The headlining event will feature a light heavyweight, grand prix semifinals between Vadim Nemkov and Anthony Johnson. The co-main will be another semifinal of light heavyweight grand prix, between Ryan Bader and Corey Anderson.

Henderson is on a two-fight losing streak from 2020. He suffered losses against Michael Chandler in their rematch and Jason Jackson at Bellator 253. It is his opportunity to be back in the winning column.

His wife, Maria, will open this event against Collette Santiago in an amateur bout. Maria has experience of one amateur victory in LFA promotion. Her rival has suffered two losses in her amateur career — once in 2019 and in August 2021.

Primus – unlike his opponent — once defeated Chandle. But Chandler avenged the loss and defeated him in their second battle at Bellator 212.

Primus bounced back with two submission victories with Gogoplata – foot choke — and neck crank against Tim Wilde and Chris Bungard. The last time he fought was at Bellator 263 and suffered a split decision loss against Islam Mamedov.
