Beterbiev Punishes Kalajdzic, Gets Stoppage

Artur Beterbiev’s undefeated knockout streak continued on May 4, as he stopped Radivoje Kalajdzic to retain the IBF Light Heavyweight Championship in the main event of a Top Rank Boxing card from Stockton Arena in Stockton, California.

Kalajdzic attempted to defend Beterbiev’s attack in the opening round, and while he survived, it was clear Beterbiev was ahead in control and ability. Beterbiev rocked Kalajdzic around in the second round before scoring a third-round knockdown.

Kalajdzic attempted to storm back in the fourth and trade with Beterbiev, but despite his best efforts, he ended up getting stopped in the fifth after taking too much damage.
