There’s A New MMA Promotion In The Making

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has claimed that a new MMA promotion will be launched by 2023.

The new promotion is set to entice prized fighters across major MMA promotions with lucrative offers.

According to Helwani, the promotion will be based on 50/50 revenue sharing, health insurance and a pension plan for its fighters. This means that MMA stars won’t have to wait for the MMAAA lawsuit anymore.

UFC, which is the biggest MMA promotion in the world, has often been criticized for underpaying its fighters. Boxing sensation Jake Paul has been very upfront about the situation and even called out UFC President Dana White multiple times on Twitter on the same affair.

Mostly, White has avoided addressing this conversation on public forums.

When middleweight Paulo Costa pulled out of a fight lately due to less pay, he asked him to leave the organization if he feels that he is underpaid.
