Billy Joe Saunders Says Ring Issue For Canelo Fight Has Been Resolved
Billy Joe Saunders says he no longer has an issue with the ring that will be used for his fight with Canelo Alvarez.
May 8 is the date for Canelo vs. Saunders. The action will take place inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The WBA, WBC, The Ring, and WBO Super-Middleweight Titles will be on the line.
Saunders gave fight fans a bit of a scare when he discussed issues surrounding the size of the ring. His father, Tom, claimed the fight was off. Canelo fired back, saying Saunders is simply making excuses and that the fight will go on. Canelo even got into a confrontation with Saunders’ camp over the ordeal.
In some positive news, Saunders has taken to his Instagram account to reveal the ring dispute has been solved. He implied that Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn will satisfy his wishes and bring in a bigger ring.
Billy Joe Saunders reacts after hearing that Canelo has now said: "I don't care about the size of the ring." As far as he's concerned, the situation is resolved…

“Hey all, just want to say I believe the issue is sorted because obviously as you can see, I tagged Eddie Hearn and Canelo in the last video and the ring is not a problem. So, thumbs are up. [I’m] chillin’ back, watching a few films, and Eddie, get the ring in, mate.”
