Bisping Refutes Trilogy Fight With Rockhold Rumor

Luke Rockhold hinted to Ariel Helwani this week, that a potential third fight against longtime rival and fellow former middleweight champion, Michael Bisping is “in discussion” for July 7th in Las Vegas.

In a report by MMA Fighting, Bisping categorically denied this claim that he’d been in talks for a fight with Rockhold at UFC 226.

“I can categorically on the record state that I have not been offered a fight with (Rockhold) on July 7,” Bisping said. “He shouldn’t be so keen to get knocked out again anyway. Stick to modeling. Judging by his last three fights, MMA certainly doesn’t appear his thing anymore.”

Both men have victories over one another, Rockhold winning in their first fight in November 2014, and Bisping at UFC 199 taking the win and the middleweight title by knocking out Rockhold.
