Bivol Signs For An Undisputed Fight With Beterbiev

According to Dan Rafael, Dmitry Bivol has signed for an undisputed bout with Artur Beterbiev

That is subject to the condition that Beterbiev comes through his next fight against Callum Smith. Both boxers square off on January 13, 2024, as Beterbiev defends his WBC, WBO and IBF belts. He has a 100 percent knockout rate, with 19 wins. Bivol came through his last fight with a one-sided unanimous decision win over Lyndon Arthur

“To have all the belts? It’s just that the mission is done. If I get all the belts. I’ve achieved what I wanted. When I’m talking about it, I feel the fire inside of me. I feel happy and sad because when you’re playing some game and you’re done. You’ve won this game. I see that I’m close. We will see,” Bivol said

Bivol took the Arthur fight in the hope he would face Beterbiev or Smith, given Saudi Arabia’s desire to secure the undisputed fight. The WBA champion struggled to get the bout due to the WBC banning Russian fighters from fighting for its title due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Now, the latest news has gone down well with the boxing fanbase.
