BJ Penn Loses GOP Nomination For Hawaii Governor

It looks as though BJ Penn’s race to become the governor of Hawaii has come to an end.

Few expected him to move into politics after he announced he would no longer be fighting back in 2019. Nevertheless, he made the announcement earlier this year that he would be running as a GOP nominee in his native Hawaii earlier this year.

However, it now seems he is no longer in the running, as he has lost the GOP nomination to Duke Aiona, who collected 55% of votes compared to “The Prodigy’s” 22% of votes.

Despite this, Penn has not conceded. Shortly after the announcement about the election, Penn took to social media to announce he will not be dropping out of the race.

Whether or not this means he will run for Governor of Hawaii as an Independent candidate has yet to be revealed.
