BKFC 12 Postponed Due To The Coronavirus

Two weeks after announcing the addition of BKFC 12 to its schedule, Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship has had to strike it out for good.

Due to the coronavirus affecting all sports, BKFC’s latest event, scheduled to take place on April 11 from inside the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, Alabama, is off.

David Feldman, President of BKFC, posted the following on social media:

“BKFC12 is being postponed. At this time with the whole world being affected, we need to concentrate on finding a solution to the virus and everyone’s health. This comes first. We will keep everyone updated as we reschedule our events. God bless everyone!”

This is not the first Bare-Knuckle event to be postponed. BKFC 11, set to take place last week, was moved to June 20. The main event was set to be Nico Hernandez v. Chancey Wilson, with the co-main event being David Rickels v. Harris Stephenson. One of the other featured attractions included Helen Peralta v. Christine Ferea in a rematch for the Police Gazette Women’s Featherweight American Championship.

The main event of BKFC 12, in the promotions Alabama debut, was supposed to be Chris Leben against former football star Marcel Stamps. The co-main event was meant to be Joey Beltran defending his BKFC Heavyweight Title against Mark Godbeer. There currently is no set date for the card to take place in the future.
