Top Rank Boxing’s Bob Arum predicts an early victory for Terence Crawford if he fights Errol Spence Jr.
Crawford has made it clear that he’s aiming for marquee bouts. A signature win over a major name has been missing from “Bud’s” stellar career. He is considered to be the pound-for-pound best fighter on many lists and is undefeated with a record of 37-0.
The two major names that Crawford has his eyes on are Spence and Manny Pacquiao. Spence holds the WBC and IBF Welterweight Titles, while Pacquiao is the WBA (Super) Welterweight Champion. Crawford is the WBO titleholder.
“Errol Spence will try to avoid Terence Crawford as long as he can, because he knows he can’t beat Terence Crawford. You saw the performance [against Brook]. He’ll take out Errol Spence in about the same number of rounds that he took out Kell Brook.”
Spence is set to put his gold on the line against Danny Garcia on December 5. The title fight will air live on PBC on FOX PPV and on FIGHT SPORTS in over 30 countries worldwide.
Crawford has had a bit of a rift with Arum. Before “Bud’s” bout against Brook, Arum said that he lost money on three straight Crawford fights. He even said he could’ve bought a house and that he isn’t willing to go bankrupt for “Bud.” Crawford fired back, daring Arum to release him.
