Bob Arum Shut Down Clash Between Tyson Fury And Derek Chisora
Bob Arum has come out to shut down the idea of a trilogy clash between Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora.
The Top Rank boss is in charge of looking after the US affairs of WBC champion. He has hit back at Fury over the potential of a third fight between him and his old friend ‘Del Boy’.
Arum had already said in the past that ‘The Gypsy King’ would remain in his self-imposed sabbatical, which he began after his sixth-round stoppage win over number one-ranked contender to the world title, Dillian Whyte, at Wembley Stadium. It is planned to last until the conclusion of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
Arum feels a fight between Fury and Chisora is all smoke and mirrors ahead of a potential undisputed clash.
He discussed this with Fight Freaks Unite.
“The truth is that he gets up in the morning, and he figures how he can best stir up s—. He’s having fun. Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen a week from Saturday and then we’ll explore whether it’s feasible to do a fight for the complete unification. He’s having fun, for Christ’s sake! Don’t take it seriously!”
Fury has won both of his previous fights against Chisora. The matches occurred in 2011 and 2014 respectively, and Fury has maintained that he would fight him again.
