Bobby Green Will Replace Beneil Dariush At UFC Vegas 49
One of the most highly anticipated fights between great jiu-jitsu fighter Beneil Dariush, and Dagestanian wrestler, Islam Makhachev, has been canceled.
Dariush suffered a severe injury, but Bobby Green has agreed to step in.
Green agreed to take this fight on short notice and tastes his powers against one of the best wrestlers in the division.
Makhachev is on a phenomenal run and probably one fight away from the title shot.
After defeating Dan Hooker in the first round, he increased his winning streak to nine. His last three battles, he earned victories via submissions.
Since 2020, Green has shown up as a great fighter.
He started using his boxing skills.
In 2020 he earned three victories against Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alan Patrick. In his fourth bout, he suffered a loss against Thiago Moises, but many consider it a robbery.
He held a really close battle with one of the best strikers, Rafael Fiziev, and earned two victories in a row against former title challenger Al Iaquinta and just dominated against Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271.
Green held his latest fight on February 13, earning two impressive victories in under two weeks. His striking is amazing, and the only loss Makhachev has is with KO, back in 2015.
