Bomac Arrested At Manchester Airport For Having Loaded Gun In His Bag
Brian McIntyre, otherwise known as Bomac, has been arrested after a loaded gun was found in his suitcase at Manchester Airport.
The trainer had been in the UK, as part of Chris Eubank Jr’s team, for his fight with Liam Smith. And the fight turned out exactly how Bomac would have wanted, as Eubank stopped Smith in the tenth round after having dropped him twice in the fight. However, reports indicate that once Bomac sought to fly back to the US on September 3rd, 2023, the trainer was apprehended by the authorities on the grounds of possessing a firearm.
And according to Telegraph Sport, Bomac has allegedly been charged with having a ‘Wesson handgun’ as well as ‘seven rounds of ammunition’ without the ‘requisite certificate.’ As such, he was kept in custody as he will face a ‘pre-trial plea hearing’ on October 9th, 2023. In response, a representative for Greater Manchester Police had this to say:
“At around 10:45 am on Sunday 3 September 2023, officers were called to reports of a possible firearm being found in hold luggage by airport staff at Manchester Airport. After initial inspection by security staff, GMP officers attended, and the firearm was seized. Subsequently, a man has been arrested for possession of a firearm and remains in custody for further questioning,” Bomac
